Wealthy Affiliate seems to be the only legitimate affiliate marketing program online. So many programs require credit card information and have tons of upsells.
Stemming from this, a lot of them are scams! Scum people who thrive off of the excitement of get rich quick schemes.

Affiliate marketing is just like any other business and you should treat it like a real business online or offline. It takes time.
It will depend on how dedicated you are to your business. I made my first sale in 25 days after joining but I was really pushing it.
I would say on average, you will have results after six months and you will be surprised when it comes, it comes.
