Write a Product Review on Your Website.
On product reviews, you will help the visitor to decide what specific product to buy by giving them all the information they might need.
It would include the best brand of the product they are searching for, the best model, for what specific use the model is for and of course, you have to give them information where to buy it.
The Specific Product Banner (the TV) will be posted on your product review page. This is your link to eBay.
This is how you monetize your review. Once you gained the trust of your customers, they will click on the banner (the TV), and they will get redirected to eBay.
If the customer buys the product or any product on eBay you will get the commission.
Post a Specific Product Banner on Your Website.
A specific product banner is a banner featuring a particular item on eBay. A specific product banner is intended for specific product reviews.
However, if the customer decided to buy another product while he entered eBay through this banner, you will still get the commission.

- Download the picture
- Click description in the middle of the page, and you will find this on the right side of the description
- Highlight and right click to copy
Log in to your eBay Partner Network and fill up the spaces.
- Advertiser- eBay
- Select Program to apply- eBay US
- Link type-Item ID
- Enter Item ID- The Number you got from eBay homepage
- Enter your Campaign ID- The one you have when you enroll in EPN
- Then click generate link.
Now you can preview the link ( the letters in blue) if it is correct, then copy and paste in on your post. As I have said, the codes are not working so do not use those.

Time to make money.
When your website visitor clicks on the eBay Partner Network banner or the specific product banner, that link will redirect the visitor to eBay. Once that person buys something on eBay, you get a commission. Isn’t that cool?
eBay charges the sellers selling fees. You as an eBay affiliate will get a percentage of the seller’s fee. The amount is about 50 % of the seller’s fees. On parts and accessories, it is about 70%.
Imagine how much commission you will get on big ticket items. They also pay you commissions on good traffic to eBay.

This is a very interesting article , but I have a question please. If I want to use product banners, is there any way I can tell which products are likely to be available on ebay for a long period? Because, presumably, if that product is no longer available, the link won’t work?

Hi Al,
For every listing there is a time left indicator. It is usually in days than in hours. If the listing has ended your visitor could still browse eBay for other products and of course if they buy something, it is still your commission because they reached eBay through your link.
It is, however, better to update your links as some people will go away if the product they are looking for is not available.

It does sound like a good way to make money. I have an online guitar blog called playgoodguitar dot com. I’m wondering if I put a listing of a second hand guitar on my site. What will happen to it if its sold or the bid is over. Would my link be made broken or set to indicate sold. I’m just wondering how do we manage such situation when we put a lot of links on our website to track which one is outdated because its sold or the auction is done. EBay pays about the same commission as Amazon. They do have Earnings Per Click but I could not figure out how they compute it. My commissions include the earnings per click. The good thing about eBay which I really like is that they pay by Paypal.

Any specific guideline on the maximum number of ads banner that can be placed on the website? Beside, is it necessary the ads banner placed on the website be relevant to the niche that we working on?

Ebay is very lenient with their policies, unlike Amazon. I don’t read anywhere about maximum numbers of banners. You need specific banners for product reviews but you can have a general eBay banner as well. The thing is, just drive the visitor to eBay from any banner and you get commissions on whatever they buy.

I too joined the eBay Partner Network simply because I found many products I was promoting were far cheaper on eBay than Amazon.
It’s a very straightforward process. Like you I create a campaign and generate a link however my preferred option is text and I use a pretty link converter to turn the long affiliate link into a short pretty link for a better user experience.
Yeah, Wealthy Affiliate showed me all this cool stuff too and the beauty is you’re not handling any stock plus you can promote around the worlds eBay platforms from the same account. Amazon however requires you to join as an Amazon Associate for each country.

Are you saying that you should review products that are on eBay? Maybe the ones that sell at a set price rather than by auction?
